Biography
For over 20 years, Karen “KJ” Janowski has been bringing new technology
products to emerging and established markets in both the business and
consumer arenas. She has been a member of the executive management
teams (in vice president roles) of Resumix, VideoStream, Quantum Corp., Plus
Development, Electronic Arts and other Silicon Valley firms. KJ has:

launched over 30 products, generating over $500 million in revenue.

Been a member of
4 pre-IPO startup management teams.

Developed
product-market strategies and business plans for both business-to-business
(B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) market opportunities.

revenue models, marketing strategies and business plans for purposes of
equity fundraising.

Negotiated and
signed partnership deals with a number of media and internet partners.

Marketed
products through multiple channels of distribution including:
online, retail, distributor, value-added reseller (VAR) and system
integrators as well as through a direct sales force.

Managed all
aspects of marketing, including: product management, user
acquisition/retention, channel marketing, affiliate programs, marketing
communications, public relations, sales support, market research,
technical support and customer service.

organizations of marketing and technical professionals in businesses
ranging from startup size to over $500 million in revenue.
KJ brings a broad, creative perspective
to strategic issues combined with a strong foundation in the practicalities
of running small companies and large enterprises.
KJ earned a BS in Applied Economics and
Finance from the Haas School of Business at the University of California
Berkeley and an MBA in Marketing and Small Business Management from Stanford
