limited resources, the company was not able to address all customer needs
simultaneously. And each member of the management team had a slightly different
opinion about the importance of the proposed new features. Which features should be included in the next release, which
should be delayed and which should not be developed?

Custom Market Research
KJ & Co. set out to
determine which features were of greatest interest to the customer base. Were
there certain customer segments that valued some features over others? KJ & Co.
defined and sized key customer segments and conducted research among a
representative sample of the various segments. We gained an understanding of
each segment’s satisfaction with existing features and how they valued proposed
features. As a result, we were able to prioritize features of importance to
each segment and help the company make the tradeoffs.
Result
The company was able
to quickly prioritize its development projects and lay out a product roadmap
that addressed the key requirements of its most important customer segments.
